#GivingTuesday 2021: Support a Rural Priest

Tuesday, November 30 is Giving Tuesday. It is a day to recognize and support non-profit organizations across the world. This Giving Tuesday CRL invites you to support rural priests!

CRL has created the St. John Vianney Fund to help priests serving in rural communities have the opportunity to participate in our Thriving in Rural Ministry retreat program. Since November 2019, we have hosted over 75 priests from 40 dioceses at retreats in beautiful locations across the country! Pictured above is the group of priests on the June 2021 retreat. St. John Vianney is the patron saint of parish priests. As we continue this work, we pray for the intercession of St. John Vianney for all our priests, especially those serving in rural communities.

Priests who have attended a Thriving in Rural Ministry retreat have said:

  • “Thank you for your generosity and zeal. It gave a fresh restart to my rural ministry.”
  • “The retreat helped me to be a better, more effective priest and helped me to grow in holiness.”
  • “It energized me to speak to rural communities about the blessedness of their vocation to cooperate with God in bringing forth the fruits of the earth.”

All who give on #GivingTuesday will be entered into a drawing for a CRL Christmas Package. The package includes a CRL travel mug, Sts. Isidore and Maria prayer card, CRL pen, and a Cooking for Christ cookbook.

Thank you for your support of rural Catholic communities!
