Hope in a Time of Poverty: new resource for parishes, local groups

To promote a deeper understanding of the Church’s social teaching in this time of global economic crisis, the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops’ Department of Justice, Peace and Human Development is releasing a series of messages on poverty in the United States.

These reflections will take a look at the causes of poverty in our country today. The capstone message will be the bishops’ traditional Labor Day Statement in early September.

The reflections are brief, available in Spanish, and set in a format that lends itself to online distribution and parish bulletins.

So, how will you use them?!
