2023 Soil Health U Salina Prayer Service

January 18th – 19th

Join us for the CRL Salina Prayer Service at Soil Health U On January 18th, 2023 beginning at 8:30am.

The Soil Health U conference returns to an in-person format for the first time since 2020. The two-day conference will be held on January 18 & 19 at the Tony’s Pizza Event Center in Salina, Kansas. The intention behind this conference is to provide attendees with a roadmap to better soil health to increase productivity and profitability. The conference features speakers, educational breakout sessions, engaging panel discussions, and a tradeshow with exhibitors. CRL Salina will be opening the conference with a prayer service, and we hope you join us.

2023 Catholic Social Ministry Gathering

Register for the 2023 Catholic Social Ministry Gathering, “Blessed are the Peacemakers” (Mt 5:9) held January 28th – 31st, 2023, in Washington D.C.

Don’t miss this transformative annual gathering for leaders in Catholic social ministry and advocacy! This year, we will gather in-person to pray, learn, and advocate together to help heal a world broken by conflict, division, and inequality.

Rural Life 2023 Essay & Drawing Contest

November 18th – February 14th

Show us your skills!
Students in Grades 1-8 are invited to create a picture or write an essay (200 words or less) on the topic:
What are some of the “fruits” of God’s creation in rural life?

Details:
Include your name, address, grade and school/parish on the back of your 8.5 x 11 in. drawing or essay. Please submit your drawing or essay by Feb. 14, 2023. One entry per person.
Categories will be: Grades 1-2, Grades 3-4, Grades 5-6, Grades 7-8

Green Bay Rural Life Scholarship

November 18th – April 1st

The Rural Life Scholarship is offered by the Rural Life Committee of the Diocese of Green Bay. This $500 scholarship provides financial aid for an aspiring student interested in serving the agricultural community in their chosen profession. To qualify for this scholarship, the applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • Pursuing post-secondary education that results in serving the agricultural community in their chosen profession
  • Be an active member in their parish community within the Diocese of Green Bay
  • Exhibit leadership qualities
  • Receive recommendation from pastor, pastoral leader, or religious education coordinator
  • Preference will be given to high school seniors
