In this issue, we focus on the gift of pilgrimage to our faith. We explore the reasons for making a pilgrimage, as well as its historical significance. Page after page you will hopefully discover rural shrines you’ve never heard of, as well as marvel at the immense number of relics the Maria Stein Shrine of the Holy Relics contains. Perhaps you will even be inspired to plan a pilgrimage of your own! Regardless, we hope and pray this issue will encourage you to take time to slow down, make time for prayer, and recognize the great beauty that our Catholic churches and shrines in rural America have to offer.
