NCRLC Session at Catholic Social Ministry Gathering, Feb. 9

 

Promoting Human Dignity for Rural Communities
Prior to the Catholic Social Ministry Gathering in Washington, DC (Feb.10-13), the National Catholic Rural Life Conference will hold an afternoon session on Saturday, February 9, entitled Promoting Human Dignity for Rural Communities.
Prof. Marie George, Department of Philosophy at St. John’s University in Queens, New York, will present on the dignity of life and the environment and implications for rural communities. Dr. George is the author of over 50 peer-reviewed articles and two books, including “Stewardship of Creation” (2009).
In addition, executive director Jim Ennis, and NCRLC policy advisor Robert Gronski will present on NCRLC’s current work, as well as the impact of public policies on crucial agricultural, conservation and rural development programs.

You can register for the NCRLC pre-gathering session by checking the “Daily Registration” option and then selecting Saturday, Feb. 9.
